Hit the Amp

This is a Heavy Metal song I wrote while I was still working in Lionbridge Technologies. Now when I read it thru I find the lyrics so lame... but apparently 2Blue the lead man for the Rock Band Zedde seems to like it and asked me for a copy of it. It's never released yet... :P

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hit The Amp

What do you do when people hate to see your face?
What do you do when they are lost in life's crazy maze?
What do you do when they realize things wrong?
And all they want is you to be gone?

What do you do when people mislead?
What do you do when they want you bleed?
What do you do when all they want to see
Is you plead and beg to be set free?

Hit the Amp, Amplify the overdrive
Lead the way to the one glance paradise
Hit the floor, Surfin the Mosh
Lead the hand to the one who'll save your soul

What do you do when your hands begin to shake?
And in the presence of the mighty you begin to quake?
When your head spins a Three Sixty
And your mind wants to follow the mystery

It's like a bullet in the gun wanting to be let out
To taste the freedom of what its got
The feeling of lost when you are found
A Simple misconception fed when you are born

PS. This is not a Christian song... and I have no idea what I was writing.. its total crap...

Music :: A Gift To Your Soul

Today, as I was just working... Was all worked up with some things I had to get organized. But as I put my music on... all of a sudden I began to feel how beautiful is our world... every little thing around me. I never felt it like that before yesterday or the day before that... or even for the last week or two... Why so now...?

Soon I realized it was the music I was listening to... :)

Do music really affect us so much...? I began to wonder. It seems it does. A music has the power to heal or break someone... It depends what we choose to listen to... :)

How Smart Are You?

As I hit off to bed last night, my brother started this conversation about how a normal human being just uses 2 - 4% of his brain and the remaining is just idle... inactive... unused... So I began to look this up on Google and found that Einstein himself used only 11% of his brain. And we began to think about it.

If the humans are so intelligent and just use 11% of their brains, what would it be like if they utilized 100% of it? I guess we wouldn't be humans then.

The Bible says that the 'Lord's foolishness is wiser than the wisdom of the world...' and also at another place it says that we are 'created a little lower than the Angels...'. The Angels mentioned is here with a capital A... which means God himself... Looking further it also says that "God has made us in his own image..."

To sum up it up... I think if we ever utilize 100% of our brains we wouldn't be humans anymore... perhaps we would become more like GOD...

But there is always one more that strikes my mind when I write this... how intelligent or smart are we really are?

Crazy Ride Back Home...

Ashish & Me

The last few days Ashish and myself have been making trips to Kandivali (East) for our practice sessions for the Big Gig that we are about to have on the 21st Nov (Friday) at C.G.S. Grounds. Yesterday evening was a crazy session. One reason because the sound levels weren't balanced... and it was one crazy time practicing with the weird sound. I usually get really upset and mad at the sound guy, but yesterday I was in a different mood. I was enjoying the chaos...

Anyways we were done with the practice and Ashish and myself left. And we couldn't just stop laughing about it. We were acting like 2 drunk morons riding on a bike. And as we were riding, this once he applied a sudden brake. It was so hard that I felt the seat go off my ass... :P
I told Ashish to drive cool and how I got freaked out. Ashish thought it was fun.. and began to deliberately speed up and apply sudden brakes. I held him and told him, Dude if I am going down... we are going together... I am taking with you... he he he he...

Just then a young couple were riding besides us and found out how I was holding onto Ashish and they had a very weird expression on their face... I kinda found that really amusing and kinda fun... So from then every time he would speed up and we could pass by some young folks I would hug Ashish tight. It was really fun to do this... and I was pretty successful to freak not only the passerby's but also Ashish himself... Ultimately the battle was won and Ashish drove cool and dropped me safely home.

But it was one hilarious evening we don't think we would forget so soon... :D

Beautiful Jet Trail...

This is has been with me for quite sometime now... I clicked this one evening while I was returning back home from work... a jet had just passed a few moments ago and left this trail in the sky, which made it the sky look so beautiful. I couldn't wait but just take my phone and click these pictures. Though the clarity sucks, you will love this pictures.

Women Of Honor :: We 'Guys' rocked it...

It all began when I received this sms on 7th Nov 2008 from Ajay Cardozo the worship leader from New Life Fellowship Bandra Church, inviting me to be a backup for their bassist who had fallen sick. I was more than excited to be a part of something Big... for the "Women Of Honor" Conference which was held on 13th Nov 2008. Though this conference was held by over 1400 women I didn't get to see a single person's face as this spotlight constantly hit my eyes temporarily blinding me... But it was truly a great time with the folks...

PS. It was really really really uncomfortable playing in the suit...

The Guy Who Checked Out Rob...

Yesterday was a crazy day... we had gone to stitch a tuxedo for my cuz Rob. So we are here at a place in Bandra with another friend Carmeline who believes she knows Bandra 'in and out' but didn't know which platform leads where...

We looked thru certain materials after browsing thru a magazine. I was indeed surprised that we could zero onto the fabric in just 20mins. I thought having a woman with us would mean we would be lallygagging around the shop for at least an hour and a half... but now I believe if it was just the guys we would have done it in quicker... say 10 minutes?

So this guy calls in his tailor by the name 'Master' who comes to measure Rob. I haven't heard a name Master in a long time only but in Chinese Martial Arts Movies... so I was little dissapointed to see our 'Master'. He was a short guy.. say 5'5 tall with a paunch that reminded me of our adorable Panda (read Kunfu Panda). But then who am I to judge... If the Panda can be the master so can be our 'Master'.

Our 'Master' took out his measuring tape and began to measure him (obviously duh.. what else can u do with the measuring tape other than use it to measure) and began to dictate the measures to the owner of the store who was taking it down on a peice of paper. It was all normal until 'Master' measured his chest... and it was 40 inches. The owner on listening to that was just floored... he said he could'nt believe that Rob had that huge chest... he didn't stop there... he went to admire Rob with how great is that... and how he never had an opportunity to stitich a tux for chest that wide before. It got worse when he realized that Rob's waist was just 34 Inches. And he began admiring more... he went on saying... "WOW... 6 Inches difference between the Chest and the waist... never seen that before..." Poor Rob was getting really uncomfortable... but I am really glad the guy wasnt gay... or Ann wouldnt have left him alive...

It was one hillarious moment we don't wanna forget and one moment Rob never want to experience again... Anyway since you guys have read so much about Rob here... I thought I should put his picture so you guys know what we are talking about...

Ladies and Gentlemen (I meant only the 'gentle' men) Please welcome my cuz... ROB....

P.S.
The guy also said... Rob has got a good 'FIGURE'

Forgive & Forget

The Holy Bible, the book I read teaches us to forgive and forget. Something many of us fail to grasp or understand. But then if you look closely its the most complete thing. I have heard many people say, "I will forgive you, but will never forget what you did to me." I really doubt if they have really forgiven the person in the first place... ;)

Forgiveness isn't complete unless it is forgotten...

I have had this special gift where I would forget everything that I been thru or wouldn't remember anyone that has hurt me after I have listened to some soothing music or had a nice nap. And I thought this was a curse over me cos people would just simply walk over me and take me for granted. I really wished I would never forget anything ever and I would begin to hate the people who hurt me.

until I had this little conversation with my friend Ann last night...

As I confided in Ann and told her what I have been thru, I realized how what I had was a gift. But perhaps, I was waiting for a reward for staying calm and bearing it all... not realizing maybe the gift I have is indeed a reward in it... Ann told me how there are some people or things in her life she has found it difficult to forget or forgive and how it has dragged on to ages. But I am really a happy man today as I understand what I possess. I really wanna take this opportunity to thank God for what he has created in me and hope that he would make me use this gift to bless and give hope to someone in need... :)
