My 'Safe Arrival' Letter To Virginia

Today was not a usual day as obviously its a Friday. I dont really feeling working on this day... besides I am listening to 'Shut Up by Simple Plan' right now. So you know I am totally in a punk mood... and not even close to something called as 'working'.

So we just done with our lunch in the pantry room situated on the 3rd Floor... Violet moved out first, followed by me. Virginia was still up there talking to VInod. I just casually bid her my goodbye. To which she thought about playing cool and asked me to write her a mail when I safely down to the 2nd store to my desk. She also asked me to draw her flowers in the mail I was to write to her.

I did just that... and definitely being the most emotional in our lot... she loved every bit of it and has preserved it... :)

This is what I wrote to her...

Tale of a Smart Sardar...

A Sardarji and his wife are traveling by car from Key West to Boston. After almost twenty-four hours on the road, they're too tired to continue, and they decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road.

When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350.. The Sardarji explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth $350. When the clerk tells him $350 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to the Sardarji, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for the husband and wife to use...

But we didn't use them', the Sardarji complains.

Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the Manager. He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. 'The best entertainers from New York , Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here,' the Manager says.

But we didn't go to any of those shows,' sardarji complains again.

'Well, we have them, and you could have', the Manager replies. No matter what facility the Manager mentions, the sardarji replies 'But we didn't use it'. The Manager is unmoved, and eventually the Sardarji finally gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a check and gives it to the Manager.

The Manager is surprised when the looks at the check.
'But sir,' he says, 'this check is only made out for $100.' 'That's right,' says the sardarji,

'I charged you $250 for sleeping with my wife.'

'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager.

'Well,' the Sardarji replies, 'she was here, and you could have.'

Note: Though this is just a joke I received in my mail. I personally believe the Sardars are amazing people, with a big open heart and the most warmest people ever and we should show our respect to them :)

Karl Peters :: Bassist for 'Rock On!!'

So I guess... the world has already watched the movie "Rock On!!"... One of the most beautiful original story and scores from Bollywood... The story about 4 young rockers and their band Magik... who split to come back after a decade and give Mumbai the greatest hindi rock show ever happened...

As good is the story the music composition too is fabulous... Great work by the Trio, Shankar-Ehasaan-Loy... who have worked wonders on so many movies together...

The best part is when I was listening to one of their songs and felt like the bass lines sounds very similar... and found it when I confirmed it that it was played by one of my friend from church Uncle Karl Peters... who is also a world renowned bassist and India's best...

It sure is very exciting that the songs have been played by someone you meet every week... and its a pleasure knowing him...

Just recently he was approached by Warwick Guitars, Germany to endorse their product officially... After all this thing... the man is still one of the most humble guy I have ever seen...

Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my friend... Karl Peters....
