Daddy Knows Best!!

I heard this little story somewhere... and I thought it would bless you too...

Once little Jen was playing with her older brother John, when she saw the sun setting and was charmed at this beautiful gradient of colors displayed in the sky. She went up to her brother and told him how beautiful the sunset was. John to prove how smart he was told her that it wasn't the sun that sets but its the Earth that revolves around the Sun. Little Jen did not really understand what John was trying to say. She told him, "But Daddy says the sun sets in the west."

John now irritated with his sister's innocence told her that 'Its never the Sun, its the Earth that revolves.'

She still asked him, 'But daddy says..' John interrupting her says, 'You will learn that when you go to school... It's Science... I believe in Science...'

Poor Jen says nothing but just walks by saying, 'I believe in Daddy...'

If You're Gone...

We had this church camp for 2 days the other day, and it was quite a encouraging time with the Lord and one another... and ever since I came back from the camp, this song has been playing in my mind. It just feels so real like God himself singing it to me.

If you're gone - maybe it's time to come home
There's an awful lot of breathing room
But I can hardly move
If you're gone - baby you need to come home
Cuz there's a little bit of something me
In everything in you

I found that so powerful especially the last line,
'Cuz there's a little bit of something me, In everything in you.'

So true... there's a bit of something about Jesus, in everything in us...
He paid the price for it.

Craziest Day Of My Life...

This incident happened last Monday. My boss asked me to accompany him to his residence in Wadala. If you guys dont know where Wadala is, I have marked my journey trail on the map below. So it took us 2 hours to reach to his place. We left from work in Borivali at 4pm on this cab we booked with 'Mega Cabs' a premium mobility services and reached at his home at 6pm. I completed my work by 7.45pm and left from 8pm from Wadala in another 'Mega Cabs' Cab. I reached home at 10pm. I had to drop my friend Alex to the International Airport at 11pm so I quickly had my dinner and was bout to call him that I realized I coudnt find my phone anywhere. now I was so exhausted and tired from the 4 hour journey that I had accidently left my mobile phone in the cab.

I called up my phone and the driver picked it up... and he told me he would meet me at the International Airport and return the phone to me when I come to drop my friend. So I agreed and left to drop Alex to the airport. When I called the driver up from the airport he told me, he was still at Colaba and having his meals. I lost all hopes of finding my phone. But surprisingly he called me up after 15mins and told me that he would drop the phone at my boss's place.

So on Wednesday morning my boss hands over my phone to me, and I was so much relieved. The 2 days without my phone left me crazy, I felt so isolated and lost. But was so happy to have all my contacts back. And just as I promised, I would love to leave the phone number of my chauffeur who drove me home that night and was gracious enough to return my phone back to me. People feel free to call up Mr. Mohd. Sabit Ali on 9930931530 for a smooth and comfortable ride.

Slumdog Millionaire... The Movie that brought back the smiles on the Indian faces...

'Slumdog Millionaire' directed by David Boyle created a wave all around the world... the story about an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions.

Each chapter of Jamal's increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the show's seemingly impossible quizzes. But one question remains a mystery: what is this young man with no apparent desire for riches really doing on the game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out. At the heart of its storytelling lies the question of how anyone comes to know the things they know about life and love...

But the reason this movie brought about a smile on the Indian faces is because it won 64 awards (so far) globally and has put Indian Cinema & music on demand in the western market. Everyone was indeed exhausted and emotionally drained with the frequent terror attacks in the country and this comes as a fresh breeze of life... Everyone in the country is excited about this movie being launched in India on 23rd Jan 2009.

My First RJ45 Crimp Job

Yesterday I had this very not so uncommon problem at work. Our Accounts HOD's LAN cable snapped and she couldn't get connected to the network. I had no other option but to crimp a new RJ45 plug for her...

I have never done this before... but after wasting 3 pins trying my best.. I was successful and live here today to tell this tale to all of my fellow geeks and cool friends...

And yeah for all my 'cool' friends who have no idea what a RJ45 is... its that pic I have put your reference... Have a nice day... ;)

To My Best Friend...

Many people ask me who is my best friend. And I, without thinking twice answer them its my friend Alex.

They began to ask me why is Alex my best friend? there has to be a reason why. And I realized there is no reason why he shouldn't be my best friend. So here is what I think that defines a best friend and why Alex fits in well...

  • A Best Friend never tries to prove himself to be the Best.
  • He doesn't mind if you keep secrets from him.
  • He trusts you more than himself
  • He thinks you totally rock even tho you suck to the core
  • He is totally cool if you pick your girlfriend over him.
  • He understands if you forget to wish him on his birthday
  • He doesn't necessarily expresses his concern for you, but when he is not around you sure miss it...
  • He sticks along with anything you believe or want to do
  • He never speaks behind your back and never hesitates to tell you whatever it is on your face
  • He is never formal with you - if he is upset he tells u he is, if he is mad he lets you know bout it... and when he is happy you know it before he even tells you.

Next Best Thing To Falling In Love

I found this on a random web searches. I don't know why did I like it so much...
Maybe I was just listening to this beautiful song by this certain band 'Friday Night Boys'.

On a second thought... I think listening to a beautiful music is the next best thing to falling in love itself... :)

Welcome 2009!!!

WOW!!! so here we are in 2009 finally... I have been really busy the last few days of Dec last year... Guess you guys figured that out since I haven't been blogging much.

I have no idea what to write about the year that just passed but... it was a beautiful year... am sure we all had our ups and downs thru the year, but its also been a year of blessing. When I look back for a sec I can't think of any good thing but when I take my time out to see all the possible good things that has ever happened to me... I think its countless... :)

But overall the month of December was the best... it all began with a youth camp at Khandala, followed by Rob n Ann's wedding and then a few Christmas programs and then Andrea's wedding... then Christmas itself.. and the new year's program... and of course the most special of it all, meeting our President's 13 year old grand-daughter Deborah Nazareth... She is one of the most sweetest kid I have met.

Well I think since pictures speak better (and maybe louder) than words... I'll stop boring you guys... and leave some pics here to see... :)
