Ignorant Americans!!!

It has been long known fact that the Americans are so ignorant about the outside world. About how they are self-content with what they have and are proud about their country. I have no hard feelings against them. But it really annoys me when people pretend like they know everything when they do actually know nothing. So here is an incident I would like to present to you guys so all of you would know how ignorant the Americans are of the world around us.

The other day I was chatting with one of my chat friend. When she asked me if there is 'ALLTELL' connection in India. I told her we do have Airtel but not ALLTELL. To my surprise she showed surprise to know that ALLTELL was not in India. I asked her why was that. She told me its quite big in the America. I was like.. "Ok.. fine..." Next she asked me what service do I use? I politely answered her I use 'Vodafone' she was like... "Vodafone.. whats that... never heard bout it..?" I couldn't take it either... Vodafone is a major European brand with their presence over 40 countries worldwide.

Well its cool if she was ignorant about it... she kept bragging about it like... "I am an American why would I know an European brand..." and this freaked me out... I thought I need to do a research and show her how ignorant she is... so here I go on to wikipedia and find info on ALLTELL and write to her this.

" Alltell is the fifth largest wireless telecommunications company in the United States, after AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, and T-Mobile with a revenue of US$ 8.8 Million." And she was like... Yeah... now thats what I am talking about...

Then I posted to her about Vodafone,

She couldnt take this anymore.. and she wrote me that she hates me... he he he....

Pretty immature behavior.... but I realized.. how true the world is about Americans...
