Goodbye Old Memories... :'(

My uncle and aunty were here to stay with us for a week. Not a pretty sight actually. They come from a little village in Kerala and life is completely different for them. They found my way of living my life pretty unusual. They found our life too fast to deal with. I was observed as a guy who is very busy with work and friends and harldy spends time with Family.

Well since it was just for a week, I didn't mind. I just kept quite and gave it in. But even if I am quiet thats something abnormal for them. They would want me to talk to me... anything... something...

Today they were leaving. I was glad they were. It was definitely nice spending time with them, but the cultural differences does take a toll over you after sometime. During his stay with us he had observed an old phone of mine which was lying around. While leaving he asked me for this phone. I couldnt really reject the request too. But as I put a sim card to check if the phone is working, it broke my heart.

My phone contained messages which were almost 2 years old. I was drawn back to the past... to our good old days... Beauitful and warm messages from some of my friends with whom I was really close once upon a time and now drifted away. Messages which speak about our friendship, our relation, our time together. It was pretty hard to let go off it... especially after you see it after years.

I guess this incident taught me how life is... You find someone, you get close... but somewhere down the line you drift away... Some do stay, some just go away.

But then there is always a new dawn to every morning... :)

Ignorant Americans!!!

Cover Design: Jesse Alex

It has been long known fact that the Americans are so ignorant about the outside world. About how they are self-content with what they have and are proud about their country. I have no hard feelings against them. But it really annoys me when people pretend like they know everything when they do actually know nothing. So here is an incident I would like to present to you guys so all of you would know how ignorant the Americans are of the world around us.

The other day I was chatting with one of my chat friend. When she asked me if there is 'ALLTELL' connection in India. I told her we do have Airtel but not ALLTELL. To my surprise she showed surprise to know that ALLTELL was not in India. I asked her why was that. She told me its quite big in the America. I was like.. "Ok.. fine..." Next she asked me what service do I use? I politely answered her I use 'Vodafone' she was like... "Vodafone.. whats that... never heard bout it..?" I couldn't take it either... Vodafone is a major European brand with their presence over 40 countries worldwide.

Well its cool if she was ignorant about it... she kept bragging about it like... "I am an American why would I know an European brand..." and this freaked me out...
I thought I need to do a research and show her how ignorant she is... so here I go on to wikipedia and find info on ALLTELL and write to her this.

" Alltell is the fifth largest wireless telecommunications company in the United States, after AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel, and T-Mobile with a revenue of US$ 8.8 Million." And she was like... Yeah... now thats what I am talking about...

Then I posted to her about
Vodafone,

Vodafone is a mobile network operator headquartered in Berkshire, England, UK. It is the largest mobile telecommunications network company in the world by turnover and has a market value of about £75 billion (June 2008). Vodafone currently has equity interests in 25 countries and Partner Networks (networks in which it has no equity stake) in a further 42 countries. She couldnt take this anymore.. and she wrote me that she hates me... he he he....

Pretty immature behavior.... but I realized.. how true the world is about Americans...
