I read this article on newspaper the other day that Microsoft is allowing everyone to download Windows 7 for free for a year. So I got this copy of windows 7 today from a friend of mine and installed it on VmWare on my machine. Though I am a big Linux Fan I was pretty surprised and impressed with Windows 7. I still have to explore the OS but so far, good. The OS takes comparatively half the time to install and load its boot files than Windows Vista. And it runs perfectly on a 1Gb Memory machine without chocking the resource too much. I liked the interface too they tried to incorporate a few styles from Red Hat but had the trademark Windows touch to it. So I have left a copy of my windows desktop screenshot here. Please note that as I was operating on the Virtual Machine I had no access to the net and thus couldnt activate the package.

CCNA going good...!!
As many of my friends know that I have been studying CCNA lately on my own. It's been really interesting. I was just wondering why did I spend so many years doing all the other things... like graphics, management, commerce... I guess they would come handy somewhere down the line. Well anyways... the purpose of this post on the blog is to give you all the progress of my studies... ;)
ICND1 - Session 1 - I scored 750
ICND1 - Session 2 - I scored 850
ICND1 - Session 3 - I scored 1000
ICND2 - Session 1 - I scored 879
So you are probably wondering how did I flunk in the first session, that would be just the basics of networking... well yeah... you are right... that's when I began to take down notes... :P
Now CCNA has 2 sessions - the ICND1 (Intro) and ICND2 syllabus. ICND stands for Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices. So i finished my ICND1 syllabus which has 3 sessions under it and I completed 1 session of the ICND2 syllabus. I took a mock test available along with the study material and the below are the results. Please note 800 of 1000 is the passing marks.
ICND1 - Session 1 - I scored 750

BONO: A True Christian
There has been a lot said about this guy, and a lot of debate between Christians about this man's approach to Christianity. But today I can confidently say, Bono has always been a true Christian. He confesses that he used to hate Christians because of their double standards but that just got him more determined to know more about who Christ was. David Ruis one of the leading worship leaders from Vineyard Music states, "that he has yet to meet someone with as much passion for God as Bono." He further states, "U2 came from the church, but at the time they started, the church didn’t know what to do with them."
Bono himself said once in an interview, "I’d join the movement, if there was one I could believe in, I would break the bread and the drink the wine if there was a church I could be received in, because I need it now."
But its just that the church for so long never accpeted him, and many more like him who were just different and looked different. It was by God's grace and plan for his life that Bono still held on to what he believed and who he believes in.
There have been so many songs of U2, where they show their desperation to work together with the church and be a part of it... but it took so long for the church to not be judgemental and accept these people with open arms. Here are some of the songs that U2 speaks openly to the church about what they feel and their passion for God.
One - You say love’s the temple, love’s the higher law, you ask me to enter, then you make me crawl, I can’t keep hanging on to what you’ve got, if all you’ve got is hurt. One love, one blood, we’ve got to carry each other.
I still haven't found what I am looking for - I have run I have crawled, I have scaled these city walls, Only to be with you, But I still haven't found.
Where the streets have no name - I want to run, I want to hide, I want to tear down the walls, That hold me inside, I want to reach out, And touch the flame, Where the streets have no name
In their biographies, they talk about how they contemplated splitting up the band because they felt like they couldn’t play their music and still be called Christians. Their passion and their talent is incredible, but what we as the church didn’t know was where to place them.

When the world almost turned grey.
I woke up at 7.30am today when my mom woke me up. We had to take my aunt to the hospital to get her stitches off. She had her brain surgery a week ago and is doing good but her left side is still inactive due to the paralytic stroke she suffered. Hence we lift her up on a chair and get her down 3 floors. Usually when I help her carry down I am accompanied by my cuz Rob or our building watchman Bhadur. Both of them are very muscular and strong. and thus its easy to carry my aunt down 3 floors. But today when I had no one to accompany, but my aunt's husband. Who is in his 60s and not strong enough to be doing something like this He did manage to carry a bit but most of it was on me. We hardly stepped down to the 2nd floor and I had this terrible catch on my back because of the awkward position I was carrying her down. I still managed to get it down somehow. And when we were down on the ground floor. My uncle went to get the car and I was standing there trying to breathe. I never experienced something like this in a long time. The last time I experienced was when I fainted in our local train going to work once. That was the first time I had ever fainted.
So I was sweating profusely and my vision got blurred. My cousin sister began to make fun of me saying I looked like a Bollywood Hero when he comes to avenge the murder of his girlfriend... :P
But it wasn't really funny to me. I sat down on the streets there. Seeing that my cousin asked me what I was doing? I just pretended to be cool and replied to her, "its cool to sit on the streets... people do that in Ireland." Soon after they got the car and we put aunt in and and they took her to the hospital. I got home and had my breakfast and felt better. That experience was totally weird and I was sick but for some reason that feeling was awesome. I just wished I was at home and not on the streets then. The moment my vision went blur I felt myself so light and I was totally high. To be honest... it was really cool...

Really Spooky!!!
This might sound like a plot straight from a bollywood flick.. but its true... My boss has an HTC P3400 which just went all weird the other day. I have no idea why, it looked like it was hacked or something... My boss found that very amusing. He called me into his cabin and placed the phone on his desk and asked me to pay close attention. Within secs I saw that the phone on its own got into the camera mode and began to click pictures and saving it on his storage card. moments later the phone called his wife and put the call on the speaker phone. Totally weird and spooky... My boss and I had a great laugh but I am really wondering if some bollywood director would read my blog post and would actually ever work on a movie script on this haunted mobile phone... Anyways I took a backup of the phone and its send to the company to be checked.
